Hydrock bolsters Scottish presence with high-profile sustainability appointments
22nd Mar 2024We are pleased to announce the arrival of MEP and BREEAM experts Paul Quinn and Peter Hendry to our team in Scotland, underlining our ambition to support clients with meeting sustainability goals and building purpose-driven, energy-efficient buildings.
Paul will lead our MEP consulting team in Scotland, which is helping to shape purpose-driven and energy efficient buildings by optimising the performance of building services systems.
Working across our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, Paul brings extensive experience in electrical building services, infrastructure design and construction sectors such as performing arts, commercial office - including BT's new Dundee headquarters - listed buildings, data centres and hospitality.
Peter Hendry arrives as senior sustainability consultant, and will shape pathways to decarbonisation and net zero for clients with property assets. He is a BREEAM specialist, having spent the last six years as a technical auditor and latterly as certification lead with the Building Research Establishment (BRE), and is qualified as both a BREEAM and NABERS UK assessor. Peter will be based in our Glasgow office.
His time at the BRE provided a unique insight into how different types of real estate can be shaped to achieve the highest levels of sustainability under schemes such as NABERS, BREEAM In-Use, BREEAM Communities and Refurbishment and Fit Out.
