We’re delighted that The Wave Bristol has been shortlisted in The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) South West Civil Engineering Awards 2020 – and their People’s Choice Award!
These awards showcase the south west’s best civil engineering work, recognising civil engineering projects that are having a significant positive impact on the region’s society, economy and local community.
Flagship Hydrock project The Wave Bristol impressed the judging panel of senior engineers and was selected from a highly competitive field as one of 12 finalists this year. Following a second round of judging, the winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in Bristol this autumn.
ICE South West are asking the public to vote online in The People’s Choice Award. They want people to pick the scheme they think has made the biggest difference to their local community.
Miranda Housden, ICE South West regional director, said: “It’s a huge achievement to reach the final of the awards due to the high volume and standard of entries. Our awards showcase the innovation and creativity of civil engineers in the region, showing how the industry is working to address the region’s key infrastructure challenges and enhance the lives of local people. Congratulations to all our finalists for 2020.”
The closing date for voting in the People’s Choice Award has been extended to Saturday 18 July 2020. The regional winner will represent the South West in an international vote, run by ICE later in the year.
