Advising both public sector and private-based clients, Rana is a specialist in flood risk management, contributing within the planning process around flood risk and drainage.
London-based, Rana is working predominantly with clients across England and Wales and is well-versed in a range of sensitive and climate-related issues such as nutrient neutrality, water neutrality, surface water modelling and sustainable drainage systems.
Her technical expertise includes hydraulic modelling, hydrological assessments, site due diligence, flood risk analysis, drainage and development infrastructure.
Rana’s sector expertise covers large mixed-use developments, residential, healthcare, education, leisure, town-centre regeneration and film studios. She supports clients through the entire planning process from pre-purchase considerations, to the submission of planning applications, and overseeing the post-application discharge of planning conditions.
Her experience also includes advising on flood alleviation schemes, helping clients to build the business case for funding applications for flood defence schemes and supporting resilience and infrastructure works.
Rana also has specialist expertise in advising on desalination plants and the understanding and reporting on risks associated with underground storage systems used on critical infrastructure sites, most notably defence sector related.
Rana is a member of the Design West Review Panel, providing independent advice on major development and regeneration projects.
