Services design on 43-acre industrial park
Delivery of MEP engineering design to industrial, trade counter and office units on a 43-acre business park situated within the A19 Enterprise Zone.
Acting for Barmston Developments, a joint venture between Wilton Developments and Clugston Estates, we delivered the MEP engineering design to almost all the units on this 43-acre mixed-use business park situated within the A19 Enterprise Zone.
Turbine Business Park features a mix of industrial, offices and trade counter units.
Of particular note was our team’s role in the services design for the uniquely designed facility for Vantec Europe, a leading logistics provider to Nissan in Sunderland. On the Park, Vantec I is a 39,000 sq. m state-of-the-art distribution facility that is exceptionally long at around 500m in length, but only around 100m in width.
Our services design supported a rapid 30-week build by GMI Construction that also enabled partial handover for Vantec’s internal fit-out after just 22 weeks of the build programme. Now occupied, the facility handles plastic and metal containers containing Nissan car parts operating to a ‘just in time’ programme.
