Award-winning sustainably designed logistics facility
Branded the most sustainable warehouse in the UK in 2019 by Property Week magazine, we delivered the structural, civils and earthworks engineering for Unit A, Baytree Dunstable, an award-winning 266,947 sq ft logistics development close to the M1.
We delivered detailed civil and structural design work on an award-winning 24,800 sq. m industrial/logistics warehouse for Baytree, a pan-European logistics and industrial development company launched by AXA Investment Managers.
Unit A at Baytree Dunstable won Building Project of the Year at the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards in June 2019. These high-profile awards shine a light on the UK’s leading green businesses and recognise the progress of the UK’s green business community.
Situated on the new A5 link road just off Junction 11A of the M1, the facility is designed with a 15m clear internal height, level access and dock doors suitable for single and double height trailers, high-spec open plan office space, and has electric car charging points, extensive LED lighting and solar powerpacks to store electricity and reduce peak rate charges.
Our role with Baytree focused on delivering the earthworks design ahead of construction, the foundations and below ground services design, and the civil and structural engineering design for this new logistics facility.
